A very important part of the sponsorship relationship is communication between the sponsored child and their sponsor. Clyde just recently sent me his first letter. Here is a picture he sent with the letter, and the text of the letter itself:

Dear Mr. Jeremy Haub,

Hello...! How are you there? I hope that you are in a good health always as I am here, too. I am very glad for having you as my sponsor. I am thankful and happy also telling my parents that I am lucky to be one as a CCF member. I'm in the family of 6 children where I am the eldest. I have 3 sisters and 2 brothers. I am now on my 12th birthday by this 20th day of December. I am now in intermediate level. I am studying in the public school in our place. I am doing my best to study well. I like and enjoy going to school. My father is a farmer and my mother works in the house. I can wash the laundry and the kitchen utensils. I can also cook simple kind of cooking and clean the house, and our yard.

Our place is a beautiful place. It is located in a mountainous place. There is road and electricity but there are only two cars traveling for passengers. The mountains are covered with pine trees and there are rice terraces and gardens. We use carafaos to plow our fields. We plant rice once a year which is our main product. Most of the people are farmers and we live simple life. The main religion in our place is Anglican which is a Christian religion. More next mail and Merry Christmas happy, New Year!

Your sponsored child,
Clyde M. Coy-om.
