about haub.net
In 1998, I started playing with the web. I still "own" some space on geocities from those days, though I'm certain that I can't remember my username and password, and I don't care to remember, anyway. What's there is there.
Anyway, I started playing around with websites in 1998, and it didn't take long before I was hooked. When I was a senior in college, I remember coming across a particular website that was just beautiful. And it was entirely different from anything I'd ever seen on the web before. Amy published a links page that led me to others. *They* had links pages, which led me to others. This continues today, and I'll tell you what, I never cease to be amazed.
So like I was saying, I was hooked. I opened a geocities account, and next thing you know, I made something.
Not long after that, I moved everything here, to haub.net.
A lot has changed since 1998. Back then, people just had personal websites. "Journals," everyone called them. Then, everyone was creating "portals." Now, we're into "weblogs." And who knows what's next?
Speaking of weblogs, this isn't one. It's just my space. If you're going to call it anything, you can call it an online journal. But really, it's just haub.net -- a place where I get to keep playing. And I intend to do just that.

P.S. One of the first things I made for haub.net was the British Isles Study Tour. Go check it out!
